A cheerful house servant proudly announced to his employer,
“Sir, I’ve finally decided to get married.”
“Wonderful!” the employer replied. “What kind of woman are you looking for?”
The servant pulled a folded notebook from his pocket.
“I’ve made a list.”
The employer smiled. “Let’s hear it.”
The servant began reading:
“She should be kind, a great cook, love children, never complain, wake up early, keep the house spotless, smile all day, save money, and always agree with me.”
The employer burst into laughter.
“My boy, you’re not looking for a wife…”
The servant looked confused.
“What do you mean, sir?”
The employer grinned and said,
“You’re looking for someone to replace you—so you can finally take a day off!”
