In\u00a0Jenna\u2019s case, it\u2019s unfortunately the latter.This is&nbsp;Jenna\u2019s story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hello&nbsp;<strong>Bright Side<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My\u00a0new neighbor threw a\u00a0big birthday party for herself and invited over 50\u00a0people. I\u00a0didn\u2019t mind the noise too much, but then she knocked on\u00a0my\u00a0door asking to\u00a0make my\u00a0wi-fi public for her guests. I\u00a0just laughed and slammed the door in\u00a0her face. If\u00a0she\u2019s rich enough to\u00a0host 50\u00a0guests, she can afford to\u00a0set up\u00a0a\u00a0public wi-fi for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;few hours went by&nbsp;and an&nbsp;unknown number rang my&nbsp;phone. I&nbsp;didn\u2019t answer but it&nbsp;kept ringing five more times. So&nbsp;I&nbsp;just decided to&nbsp;answer. It&nbsp;was my&nbsp;neighbor, she said, \u201cHey Jenna! I&nbsp;just wanted to&nbsp;apologize for earlier. I&nbsp;realized how silly my&nbsp;request was. Of&nbsp;course you wouldn\u2019t want to&nbsp;open your private network. I&nbsp;wouldn\u2019t either. So&nbsp;I&nbsp;wanted to&nbsp;make it&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said she left a&nbsp;piece of&nbsp;cake by&nbsp;my&nbsp;doorstep in&nbsp;a&nbsp;small container. So, I&nbsp;went to&nbsp;get&nbsp;it. Right as&nbsp;I opened the door she was there with a&nbsp;bunch of&nbsp;her guests with the entire cake in&nbsp;her hands. Before I&nbsp;could say or&nbsp;do&nbsp;anything, she smacked the cake right on&nbsp;my&nbsp;face while every one of&nbsp;her guests filmed&nbsp;it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&nbsp;was beyond furious. I&nbsp;thought about involving the cops, but thought of&nbsp;a&nbsp;better revenge plan. Every time&nbsp;I walk my&nbsp;dog, my&nbsp;neighbor is&nbsp;going to&nbsp;get a&nbsp;lovely housewarming gift at&nbsp;her front yard, fresh from the source. If she sets up a camera or already has security set up guess who\u2019ll be talking to the cops from the wrong side. You should have done that to her when she smashed you with the cake. You were completely within your rights to&nbsp;not share your wi-fi. Nonetheless, maybe a&nbsp;polite \u201cno\u201d would\u2019ve been a&nbsp;better response than laughing and slamming the door on&nbsp;Jenna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other than that, her revenge plan was completely unwarranted. It\u2019s humiliating and didn\u2019t need to&nbsp;go&nbsp;that far. But, on&nbsp;the bright side, she\u2019s the one that didn\u2019t get a&nbsp;taste of&nbsp;her own birthday cake. That said, if&nbsp;a&nbsp;neighbor generally bothers you, you should let the&nbsp;community&nbsp;know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If&nbsp;you have a&nbsp;group chat with other neighbors, complain about her childish response. It\u2019ll let everyone know what kind of&nbsp;neighbor Jenna really&nbsp;is.
