One plane passenger took it upon themselves to remove someone\u2019s shoes from the overhead bin space<\/a> to make room for their luggage \u2014 then they turned to Reddit to ask if they were selfish or justified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the\u00a0r\/AmItheAsshole<\/a>\u00a0forum on Reddit, the passenger who flew \u201con a short distance flight with a low cost airline company\u201d shared \u2014 which has since been deleted \u2014 more details about what happened.\u201cThis specific company guarantees cabin space when you book a certain seat and it\u2019s not too expensive,\u201d the original poster wrote, being quick to mention that it was an early flight and they were hungover.\u201cWhen I got on the plane all the front cabin spaces were taken, I kept searching for a place next to my seat 2A but my suitcase wouldn\u2019t fit,\u201d the post read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original poster was feeling what most flyers have felt when overhead space is limited for their carry-ons \u2014 annoyed and frustrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI admit that I was getting more and more frustrated when walking down the aisle looking for a space and also a bit pressured because there was a line forming behind me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI finally came up in row 8 where I found a space that was filled with 2 pairs of shoes,\u201d the OP explained. \u201cWe all know the rules, cabin luggage goes in the cabin and anything else goes under the seat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As genius as this idea might have sounded \u2014 it didn\u2019t take long for the owner of the shoes to say something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFinally, someone two rows above speaks up. I then ask if he could take them out and they respond with: \u2018do you work for the company\/ are you the flight attendant.\u2019 I chose not to answer this and took the shoes out to put my suitcase,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A flight attendant overhead and asked if either passenger needed help \u2014 to which they replied no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the owner of the shoes had to get even \u2014 so they retaliated by hiding the other flyer\u2019s bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnderstandable that you were feeling pressured and impatient, but you should have waited anyway.  Tossing them was really bad form.
